Milan, 12 September 2017 – Following the huge success of the first call, the startup acceleration programme IMPACT Growth launches its second open call, with a fund of €3.6 million and a final aim of identifying four European super startups.
Managed by DOCOMO Digital through b-ventures, FundingBox and ISDI, the program is supported by the participation of the FIWARE Foundation, Mobile World Capital Barcelona, Accelerace, Kibo Ventures, Invesdor, Danone, Ferrovial Servicios, and MADE.
The second open call has been launched on September 5 in occasion of DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival : 14 startups will be selected and then financed with up to €250,000 equity free-funding. In this second session IMPACT Growth expects to overcome the success achieved with the first open call, which received applications from more than 1,900 startups from 60 countries.
The program is focused on four verticals and is aimed at companies with proven track-record and with products already on the market.
The four verticals are: Smart Infrastructure & Cities, Smart Content, Smart Manufacturing and Smart AgriFood.
IMPACT Growth bases its expertise and reputation on the successful results obtained by IMPACT, the accelerator that invested €6.4 million in 63 startups between 2014 and 2016, recently named among the global Top Ten Accelerator Programs in Gust’s Global Accelerator Report, among 579 programs in five continents.
Still, likewise IMPACT, funding will go hand in hand with a high-performance startup training program, with renowned experts and international entrepreneurs delivering classes in the cities of Madrid, Copenhagen and Barcelona. Following the week-long acceleration bootcamp, startups will not be required to relocate to different cities, they will just have remote access to an international network of more than one hundred top mentors, founders and investors, experts in different key areas, including leaders of the accelerator’s four verticals. Mentors will support startups on several fields, from business, to technology, to scalability.
The involvement of the FIWARE Foundation will allow beneficiaries to receive support in the incorporation of FIWARE technologies into their software architecture. FIWARE is an innovative, open source and cloud-based technology stack, facilitating the creation and the global deployment of smart services/applications in the new digital era.
Startups can apply on the IMPACT Growth website. Applying before the first cut-off of 24 October 2017 gives applications more time to be evaluated. The final deadline is 12 December 2017.
