DNAPhone

The idea

DNAphone1 (Small)DNAphone is an optical device that, when connected to a smartphone, can conduct analysis for quality control and food safety on the major food chains, quickly and economically, efficiently managing the data for post processing and subsequent traceability

The application acquires the data by scanning the sample, then stores the results, conducts an analysis and manages the subsequent transmission of data. DNAphone was founded in March 2014 by a trio of researchers from the University of Parma, Alessandro Candiani, Michele Sozzi and Alessandro Tonelli.
